Eso-Technologies is an early stage company developing an esophageal cardiac monitoring device for surgical and critical care applications. This new device is designed to replace the industry standard and more invasive pulmonary artery catheter (PAC), and offer greater capabilities, improved diagnostic specificity, greatly enhanced safety, and significant cost advantages. Wisconsin-based, Eso-Technologies has developed and tested their product prototypes, completed a clinical protocol, and engaged three clinical partners to complete early trials. The company's $1MM Series A Preferred was led by DaneVest with significant participation by Phenomenelle Angels Fund.


HarQen, LLC

HarQen is a web telephony company that leverages its voice to web audio technology and social networking platform to develop smart, easy-to-use business applications that solve real world problems. From a consumer standpoint, using HarQen’s technology is as easy as leaving a voicemail. The company's first two products are VoiceScreener and Comic Wonder. Milwaukee-based HarQen's Round One and bridge financing rounds were led by the Phenomenelle Angel Fund, with participation by Wisconsin Investment Partners and Women Angels.

iDC is a leading developer of Fund Accounting software for government and not-for-profit organizations. iDCís web-based, scalable products are designed for rapid implementation, seamless integration, and can be tailored to fit specific needs of IT, finance and elected officials. They enhance emergency preparedness, government continuity and disaster recovery. iDC recently gained national recognition as recipient of the NAWBO/Wells Fargo Trailblazer Award for Technology Innovation and the 2005 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics from the Better Business Bureau of Northern Illinois. Additionally, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity awarded iDC a grant to enhance homeland security efforts. iDC is based in Chicago. Phenomenelle Angel Fund was iDC's first institutional investor.



Madison-based Kiio manufactures a wireless sensor for physical therapists that attaches to an exercise band or rope and measures the force with which the band is being pulled by a patient. Kiio is a spinoff of Lifeline USA, a leading fitness equipment company started in 1973.


Shanghai, China-based Meihui China Software develops intelligent traffic management systems based upon multi-source data. Meihui is the market-leading provider of regional traffic data in China and has an extensive patent portfolio.

Leland, Michigan-based Michelle's Miracle's Series A round was led by the Phenomenelle Angels Fund. Seed investor, Fisher Properties of Indiana, reinvested in the company's Series A.

Stemina Cell Discovery discovers and validates small molecules as biomarkers for high-throughput drug screening and disease diagnostics using an all human system comprised of stem cells and the Company's proprietary metabolomics platform. Metabolomics enables the discovery of small molecules that can be used as candidate biomarkers of disease and pharmacological efficacy or toxicity. The human embryonic stem cell metabolome is a source of candidate biomarkers to predict, diagnose or measure the progress of disease or toxic response. Stemina provides compound screening and diagnostic development for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries and academia under contract services or joint discovery agreements. Stemina is based in Madison, WI. Phenomenelle Angels Fund co-invested with Wisconsin Investment Partners and DaneVest Capital.

TrafficCast International Inc.

TrafficCast International is a leading provider of digital traffic data, with patented software and predictive models to produce route-specific real-time traffic information and travel time forecasts for traditional and emerging traffic information markets. TrafficCast International recently deployed the world's largest cell probe data collection system in Shanghai. The company is based in Madison, Wisconsin and has a branch office in Shanghai. Phenomenelle Angels Fund co-led TrafficCast's Series A round together with NEW Capital Fund and Ceres Ventures.
